Live data sources
Apps reach these through Whip’s own servers — never the open internet — so every source is safe, free, and keyless. Where a source asks for credit, Whip’s AI builds the attribution into your app automatically.Weather & nature

This is the complete list — if a source isn’t on it, apps can’t reach it,
which is the safety rail, not a bug. Separately,
Whip’s AI can research the whole web while building your app and bake in
a snapshot of what it finds — that’s how a “2026 movie quiz” gets real 2026
movies. The list grows over time; the changelog announces new
sources.
Building blocks
These are the professional libraries Whip’s AI can build your app with — the same tools human developers use. Grouped by what they unlock:3D worlds

Three.js (with React Three Fiber and Drei) — spinning planets, 3D
dice, product viewers, little explorable worlds.
2D games & physics

PixiJS for fast 2D graphics and Matter.js for real physics —
bouncing, stacking, colliding, toppling. Arcade games live here.
Motion & flair

canvas-confetti and tsParticles for celebrations and particle
effects, plus animated counters and typewriter text.

Common questions
Do I need to know these tools to use Whip?
Do I need to know these tools to use Whip?
Not at all. Describe the result you want and Whip chooses the right
building blocks. Naming a library is a power move for people who already
have one in mind — never a requirement. Start with
prompt tips instead.
Can an app use a data source that isn't listed?
Can an app use a data source that isn't listed?
No — the list is a hard boundary, enforced by Whip’s servers. It keeps a
stranger’s app from sending your data somewhere sketchy. If you want live
data from something not listed, ask in the
Discord — new sources get added
over time.
Why did my app show a credit line I didn't add?
Why did my app show a credit line I didn't add?
Some sources (Wikipedia, museum collections, trivia databases) require
attribution. Whip’s AI adds those credits automatically so your app plays
by the rules.
