How leaderboards work

A leaderboard remembers your best result on that app. Beat your own record and it updates; a worse run leaves your best untouched. So you can keep playing without fear of “ruining” a good score.
Each app has a single leaderboard. Even as the creator ships new versions, scores roll into the same board — so the competition carries on across updates.
Points, fastest time, longest streak — the app defines what counts, and whether higher or lower wins. A speed-run can rank low-to-high; an arcade game high-to-low.
Set a great score and hold the top for a while? If someone later beats it, Whip sends you a notification — your cue for a rematch.
A leaderboard is open to everyone who plays that public app — friends and strangers alike. Your entry is your own personal best. Playing an app you made doesn’t game its stats, and your scores live on the board, not in anyone else’s private copy of the app.
